Increased Infrastructure Spending
Councilman Nick Long has consistently pushed for budgets that reduce the tax rate, reduce debt and fund much need infrastructure projects. Infrastructure spending has increased by nearly $10 million per year since Nick joined the council. It currently sits at an all-time high of $77 million. This increase funding has been used to build projects addressing such issues as: Drainage, road projects, sidewalk repair, water/waste water, and parks & trails.
Nick will continue to push for fiscally responsible infrastructure investment that prepares the City for the future and addresses some of the mistakes of the past.
